God’s covenant endures forever and his promises are unbroken.

Confiance News gathered from a sermon delivered by the Area Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solidrock parish, Ojodu, Pastor Tunji Adeyinka on Sunday.

The proclamation began with a bold affirmation: “Almighty God, my hands will not be empty and my life will not be empty. I will not lose my reward.” Anchored in Psalm 74:20, the message underscored that while human beings may forget, God never forgets His covenant.

Covenant as Defence
The teaching highlighted that the covenant serves as humanity’s defence against cruelty and adversity. “David knew, and we know today, that God is a covenant-keeping God,” the speaker noted, stressing that divine promises cover life, finances, marital destiny, career, and children.

Referencing Lamentations 3:22, the message described God’s mercy as “a comprehensive life insurance,” assuring believers that His protection is constant and unfailing.

Unbreakable Promises
Jeremiah 33:20 was cited to illustrate the permanence of God’s word: just as the covenant of day and night cannot be broken, so too His promises remain intact. “As long as the night and day remain, your prophecies concerning my life are established,” the declaration affirmed.

The teaching also reminded worshippers that God does not need storage or reminders to keep His promises. “Some of us are still praying for God to do something, but He has already done it,” the message said.

A Call to Remembrance
Believers were urged to continually remind God of His covenant—not because He forgets, but as an act of faith. Isaiah 65:22–24 was presented as a strong covenant for families, while Isaiah 34:16 and Psalm 37:25 reinforced the assurance that the righteous will not be forsaken nor their children left in need.

Confiance News reports that the message closed with a heartfelt prayer: “Father, this day, this year, remember your covenant concerning my children, my life. Almighty God, respect the covenant, oh Lord.”

For many, the declaration served as a timely reminder that divine promises remain unshaken, offering hope and strength in uncertain times.
