The weighty issues of life are not committed they are omitted.
Pastor Bola Odutola of Solid Rock Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) told Confiance News during its Sunday service on Sunday.
Taking his text from the book of Matthew 6:34, he stated that a lot of people are struggling today due to what they omitted.
“The christian must pray that while God must help him not to commit something, he should also pray that he should not omit what is important,” he noted.
Odutola defined Omission as the neglect of duty.
He added that the power one needs to resist and overcome the devil is derived by drawing near to God.
The Senior Pastor highlighted the point from a text he culled from James 4:7-8 in the bible.
He frowned at christians lackadaisical attitude towards spiritual matters.
“The more spiritual a task is, the sooner christians are fed-up.
Spiritual tasks are more tiring than the physical,” he lamented.
“Each time you kneel down to pray, you’re actually contending for your life. That is how important and efficacious prayer is,” he explained.
Odutola added that daily prayers is used to overcome daily temptations.
“The things which are in secret belongs to the Lord but the things which are revealed belongs to God. To get them revealed you have to stay with God,” he buttressed.
