Doing things because others are doing it is wrong because you are not on the same track with them.

Kayode Afolayan, a minister at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock Parish, stated on Sunday.

“You don’t do things outside of the jurisdiction of God because other people are doing it. It is wrong. There’s something for you that is peculiarly yours,” the minister urged.

Citing the book of Hebrews 12:1-2 from the scriptures, he said that the bible enjoins us to run the race that is set before us.

He said that it was God who ordained the places where we were born.

“God knows everything about us intimately more than we can know ourselves. God knows tomorrow; He’s the omniscient God.

“The race that you’re running is different from another person’s race,” he pointed.

“You cannot kill yourself because your friend bought a Lexus. So, because your friend bought Lexus you must buy Lexus; it is pure foolishness,” he continued.
Afolayan notes that in the architecture of God, there’s a place for everyone.
He said: “If you think you’re an albino you’re actually the right specification for what God wants you to be.
If you think you’re short, you’re just the right specification of God; every other person is just tall for nothing.
If you think you’re too tall, you’re the right specification for God. Every other person is just short for nothing.”
‘The truth is that there’s nothing that is happening now that is “news” to God,’ he noted.
The minister noted that same word God is applicable to everyone irrespective of the part of globe one belongs to.
“That is the sovereignty of God,” he harped.
“No matter the period that God introduces you on this earth, He has taken care of you,” he pointed.
He also stated that some people have lost money in businesses because they were copying others.
“Some of the things your friends/others are doing that is bad, in the next five years their cup will be full but you that is following God will still be on ground blossoming,” he disclosed.
He, however, urged christians to do things because they are convinced and not because others are doing it.
He further enjoined christians to trust in the Lord with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding.
