Making money from YouTube is a popular topic among many people who want to create content online. There are different ways to earn money on YouTube, depending on your channel size, content type, and audience preferences.

Confiance News has curated some of the most common methods:

Advertising revenue: This is the most basic way to make money on YouTube. You need to join the YouTube Partner Program and enable monetization for your videos. You will then earn money from ads that are displayed before, during, or after your videos. The amount of money you make depends on various factors, such as the number of views, the type of ads, and the audience demographics.

Channel memberships: This is a feature that allows you to offer exclusive perks and benefits to your loyal fans who pay a monthly fee to join your channel. You need to have at least 1,000 subscribers and be in the YouTube Partner Program to enable this feature. You can set different levels of membership and offer different rewards, such as badges, emojis, live chats, videos, polls, and more.

Merchandise shelf: This is a feature that allows you to sell your own branded merchandise or products from other brands that you partner with through the YouTube Shopping affiliate program. You need to have at least 10,000 subscribers and be in the YouTube Partner Program to enable this feature. You can showcase your products on your watch pages and direct your viewers to your online store or the product page.

Super Chat & Super Stickers: This is a feature that allows your viewers to pay to get their messages or animated images highlighted in your live chat streams. You need to have at least 1,000 subscribers and be in the YouTube Partner Program to enable this feature. You can set the minimum amount and duration for each Super Chat or Super Sticker, and you will receive a share of the revenue after YouTube takes a cut.

Super Thanks: This is a feature that allows your viewers to pay to view a fun animation and get their message highlighted in your video or Short’s comments section. You need to have at least 1,000 subscribers and be in the YouTube Partner Program to enable this feature. You can set the minimum amount for each Super Thanks, and you will receive a share of the revenue after YouTube takes a cut.

These are some of the ways you can make money on YouTube, but there are also other options, such as sponsorships, crowdfunding, donations, licensing, and more. The key is to create engaging and valuable content that attracts and retains your audience, and to follow the YouTube channel monetization policies and guidelines.
