One of the foremost, electricity distribution companies (discos) in Nigeria, Eko Distribution Company (EKEDC) has joined other women in the engineering profession globally to celebrate the International Women in Engineering day.

Reacting, EKEDC said: “In celebration of this year’s International Women in Engineering Day, our female engineers visited one of the major players in the energy sector, Egbin Power Plant. It was a moment of learning, unlearning and relearning.

“The theme for this year, Enhanced by Engineering, recognises the value of engineering in enriching our lives and the unique contributions of women engineers in making our world a better place.”
