‎The launch of the NIPOST Agro Infrastructure and Logistics Initiative (NALI) sparked a notable exchange on X between @akintollgate and @tola_odeyemi, the Postmaster General and CEO of NIPOST. ‎Rather than dismissing the critique, @tola_odeyemi responded with a comprehensive and well-structured reply, directly addressing @akintollgate’s concerns. She outlined NALI’s four key pillars, demonstrating that the initiative was designed to tackle the very gaps he highlighted.

‎First, she confirmed ongoing engagements with authorities to streamline permits and reduce taxation barriers for logistics operators, easing the movement of agricultural produce.

‎Again, she revealed discussions with the Railway Corporation and cargo airlines to introduce affordable, high-volume transport options, enhancing access to regional markets.

‎Confiance News also learnt that, she detailed plans for public-private partnership (PPP) warehousing hubs at NIPOST locations to extend the shelf life of perishable goods and improve logistics efficiency.

‎Moreover, she confirmed the development of an online marketplace integrated with NIPOST’s infrastructure, enabling real-time connections between wholesalers, farmers, and logistics providers.
