The news of an 8-Year-old househelp who was bathed by hot water by a couple in Anambra State because she was found licking milk meant for their baby has sparked reactions by most Facebook users.
Confiance News gathered from a Facebook post by Jane Iyke on Tuesday.
The couple identified as Mr. Emmanuel Anichukwu and Mrs Ogochukwu Anichukwu, were reported to be flogging the 8-Year-old girl referred to as Mma and starving her often.
Iyke noted that the girl has been seen several times eating sand because of starvation.
Luck, however, ran out of them when one of the neighbours sighted Mma who was trying to hide from being noticed.
The couple were dragged to Anambra state Human right legal initiative in Ekwulobia, for the recorded maltreatments and the recent act of Mrs Ogochukwu on the 8-Year-old househelp.
Iyke who shared their photos said,
“This girl’s offense was that she licked the milk meant for her baby, she poured hot water on her and locked her inside so that neighbors won’t see her in that state.
“The neighbours confirmed to have seen the girl eating sand severally because of starvation. She’s now used to flogging which was why the woman used hot water this time.
“The neighbor that reported to the Human rights legal aid according to them entered their house unexpectedly and caught Mma trying to run inside to avoid been seen as she was vehemently warned not to allow anyone see her.”
Moreover, some Facebook users have taken to Iyke’s Facebook page to express their displeasure over the inhuman treatment mated on Mma.
According to Mike Iyangudo, a Facebook user, “What a wicked woman.”
According to Judith Chioma Eze, “How can someone be this heartless what is milk God pls save this little girl from the wicked couples.”
“She needs to be hanged,” Duru Loveline said.
“She’s so skinny too bad,” Godson Chukwudi lamented.
Iyke, however, disclosed that Nma is now in the hospital for proper medical care.
