Fans wonder why Cardi B’s doing ad on her 30th birthday- reactions

Born on October 11, 1992, American rapper and songwriter Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, better known as Cardi B, has left fans bewildered as to why she chose her birthday to do advertisement for a brand.

Confiance News gathered from Cardi B’s Instagram handle on Tuesday.

According to a netizien known as Zdh.69 on Instagram he wants to know why Cardi B chose her birthday for ad which he noted is unlike her.

He said, “Girl why is out doing ad on your birthday.?”

Although Cardi B did not respond to his question, it however, sparked reactions among Cardi B’s fans.

Responding to his question, another netizien known as Carditheegoat said, “It’s probably a sponsor ship.”

Confiance News recalls that Cardi B had taken to her Instagram page few minutes into her birthday to announce her partnership with New York City-based fashion house, DKNY (Donna Karan New York), and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Cardi B said,”So today on World Mental Health Day I’m teaming up with @dkny and @namicommunicate to let you guys know that sometimes you gotta just roll with the punches and start over TOMORROW! #IFeelDKNY.”

The Grammy award winner who has 141 million followers on Instagram also received touching birthday wishes from her teaming followers.

Twitter fans were also not left out in the outpour of birthday wishes.

A tweep known as Fan account|BLM took to Twitter to pen a lovely wish for Cardi B.

He said: “30 years ago today, one of the most influential female rappers of all time was born. Selling over 250 MILLION singles worldwide in just 5 years, she paved the way for a new generation of female rap.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARDI. I love you forever. ❤️.”

Fan account | BLM also reacting to the DKNY deal said, “Cardi B for DKNY.”

Another tweep known as A said, “Enjoy your day my love.”

Onlybardi, a tweep, penned a heart-warming piece for her.

He said,”Happy birthday @iamcardib you are an inspiration with such a pure soul and genuine heart. You are the epitome of staying true to yourself and working to the extra mile to get to where you are. You are my idol Cardi! Happy 30th! 💖💖❤️❤️💜#bardigang #cardibbirthday.”

Confiance News, however, presumes that Cardi B appears to be loaning her voice to resonate the importance of mental health.

Confiance News also gathered that this year’s (2022) World Mental Health Day was celebrated on Monday, October 10 with the objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world.
