‎FMDQ Group marked Children’s Day by hosting students from Chrisland High School, Lekki, and Jeed Trinity College, Isolo, Lagos, for a financial literacy session at its Exchange Place headquarters. Confiance News gathered from the official Facebook page of the organization.
‎
‎The programme, organised under FMDQ-Next, the group’s flagship corporate responsibility initiative, introduced students to core financial market concepts, equipping them with knowledge designed to support informed decision-making, drive innovation, and build the next generation of financial leaders.
‎
‎The Children’s Day session is the latest in a string of youth-focused interventions by the group. Launched in 2018, FMDQ-Next was designed to promote financial markets awareness and literacy among students aged 8 to 22, spanning primary, secondary, and tertiary levels as well as fresh graduates.
‎
Beyond classroom instruction, Confiance News, reports that the initiative delivers Teach-a-Class sessions, trading simulation exercises, excursions, and internships, giving young Nigerians hands-on exposure to the corporate world.
‎
‎Most recently, FMDQ Group concluded the 6th edition of its FMDQ-Next Summer Camp Programme, hosted at Exchange Place, Lagos, from August 6 to 29, 2025, bringing together primary and secondary school students for an immersive journey into financial markets.
‎
Before that, the 2024 edition of the Summer Camp saw 130 students from diverse backgrounds participate in a fully funded programme covering savings, investments, and the roles of key financial market players.
‎
‎The initiative is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education, underscoring FMDQ Group’s commitment to improving access to financial knowledge across Nigeria.
