Temperament is a term that describes a person’s innate behavioural and personality traits, such as adaptability, emotional reaction intensity, and sensitivity.  Confiance News gathered that there are four main types of temperament, which are often influenced by genetics and external factors. They are:

 

Sanguine: This temperament is characterized by being warm, optimistic, social, and energetic. Sanguine people are usually outgoing, cheerful, and enthusiastic. They enjoy being around others and having fun. They are also adaptable and flexible, but may lack focus and discipline.

Choleric: This temperament is characterized by being irritable, quick to react, and assertive. Choleric people are usually confident, ambitious, and decisive. They like to take charge and get things done. They are also independent and self-reliant, but may be impatient and domineering.

Melancholic: This temperament is characterized by being analytical, quiet, and nostalgic. Melancholic people are usually thoughtful, introspective, and creative. They value order, logic, and accuracy. They are also loyal and compassionate, but may be pessimistic and prone to anxiety.

Phlegmatic: This temperament is characterized by being relaxed, apathetic, and slow-moving. Phlegmatic people are usually calm, easygoing, and cooperative. They prefer stability and harmony over change and conflict. They are also good listeners and mediators, but may be passive and indifferent.
