‘I am speechless’, Aisha Yesufu reacts to her sculpture made by UNIBEN graduate

Nigerian activist and businesswoman, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to a sculpture of her constructed by a graduate of the University of Benin, Emmanuel Omoregie.

Reacting elatedly she said, “I am speechless!
I really don’t know what to say.
I do not take any of this for granted.
Thank you.”

Meanwhile, the sculptor announcing his works said,
“I thank the Lord, for this.
I am Omoregie Emmanuel, as part of the requirements for the award of B.A Fine and Applied Arts, I made a stylized Figure of Aisha Yesufu, to appreciate her roles towards contemporary activism in Nigeria.”

Aisha Yesufu is the co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls movement- a clarion call for the release of the over 200 girls abducted from a secondary school in Chibok, Nigeria on 14 April 2014, by the terrorist group Boko Haram.

She was also in the forefront of the ENDSARS movement which moved against Police brutality in Nigeria.
