‎Nigeria is betting on its girls to build its digital future, and the NCC just made that investment visible.

‎The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has praised Communications and Digital Economy Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani for championing digital empowerment for girls, as 185 students from across the country toured the National Communications Museum in Abuja under the 2026 National Girls in ICT Programme.

‎Confiance News
gathered from the official Facebook page of NCC on Friday.

‎The visit, part of broader national efforts to close the gender gap in technology, exposed participants to Nigeria’s telecommunications history and the milestones that have shaped the country’s digital landscape.

‎Beyond the exhibits, the tour carried a deliberate message: Nigerian girls belong in STEM and ICT, and their participation is critical to the country’s digital advancement.

‎The NCC framed the initiative as aligned with Minister Tijani’s broader push to position Nigeria as a digitally inclusive economy, with young women at the centre of that vision.
