Nigeria’s Tunde Onakoya wants to break Guinness World record for longest Chess Marathon

Nigeria’s Chess Master, Tunde Onakoya, is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon at Times Square in the heart of New York.

 

Confiance News gathered from the official X handle of his non governmental organization (NGO), Chess In Slums on Thursday.

 

Fans have visited his X handle to cheer him up. The hash tags, #ChessMarathonForChange and Guineas World Record has been trending on X.

 

The longest marathon was 58 hours, which he intends to break.

 

So far, he has played 60 games and won 60, and has done 24 hours as at the time of filling in the report.
