Reactions have trailed the harsh treatment meted on Super Eagles players in Libya.

Confiance News gathered that the players were stranded because they were in a flight that was diverted to Al Abraq Airport, about 230 kilometers away from Benghazi, where there were supposed to land for an AFCON Qualifier.

This made them spend a long period at the airport without food, water and communication.

Reacting to the event, Mobolaji Abdul PR said: “This is horrible.”

Energygirl said: “Fine men! people’s husbands, daddies, uncles and sons with better beds at home!! Just cone home. 🇬🇭 won’t do this out brothers ..shame on Libya.”

Dark cookies added: “So sad.”

Confiance News learnt that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has vowed to look into the matter to ascertain the root cause of it and to forestall a reoccurrence.
