United Capital Asset Management (UCAML), a top-tier subsidiary of United Capital Group, unveiled its latest offering, the Children Investment Fund (CIF), at a launch event held at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos.

Confiance News reports that this naira-denominated, open-ended mutual fund is designed to help Nigerian parents and guardians invest in their children’s future, targeting key milestones such as education, healthcare, and other capital needs.

The CIF provides a disciplined, professionally managed investment vehicle to foster long-term financial security for children. Dr. Odiri Oginni, Managing Director/CEO of UCAML, emphasized the fund’s purpose, stating, “The Children Investment Fund enables parents to build a financial foundation for their children’s future. Starting early is key to ensuring a strong head start, whether for education, healthcare, or other needs.”

With the CIF’s introduction, Confiance News gathered, UCAML now oversees 10 open-ended mutual funds, solidifying its position as Nigeria’s second-largest mutual fund manager. Its diverse portfolio includes low-risk income funds, equity-focused options, dollar-based funds, and ethical investment vehicles, catering to varied financial goals and risk profiles.

The Group CEO of United Capital Plc, Peter Ashade, highlighted the fund’s alignment with the company’s mission of financial inclusion and wealth creation. “This launch reflects our commitment to inclusive financial solutions that empower future generations. Investing in children today strengthens Nigeria’s economic future,” he said.

Managing over ₦1 trillion in assets, including ₦500 billion in mutual funds, Confiance News learns, UCAML continues to lead through innovation and expertise. The Children Investment Fund is poised to uphold the company’s track record of outperforming market benchmarks, offering families a reliable path to intergenerational wealth.
