As journalists and newsrooms embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their work, the need to make regulations guiding the use of the products is very crucial.

Confiance News gathered from Media and Communications expert, Ruth Munyi on Wednesday.

Speaking during a Wana Data panel session on the topic: Generative AI re-imagined media Products”.

Munyi noted that AI will not take over the work of journalists because it is just a tool to enhance your work.

“AI is not going to take over our work,” she said. “We just need to integrate it into our work.”

She emphasized the need to be wary of the ethical issues inherent in it.
