A pure heart is a weapon of warfare. With a pure heart every word uttered from the scriptures carry weight.

Pastor Bola Odutola, the Senior Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock Parish Ojodu disclosed in Lagos on Sunday.

He said, “All creatures without exemptions have limitations. Even angels can be helpless. A pure heart is a weapon of war. The pure in heart will have a line of communication with God; therefore, they will see things from GOD. If you are not seeing things of God, your eyes are closed.”

Citing the book of 2 Corinthians 4:16 from the bible, he stated that unlike the outward man (the flesh) which wears out, the inward being (the spirit/soul) is renewed regularly.

Confiance News, however , gathered from the cleric that christians need the heart to store a lot of the word of God to be triggered when required.

“Human beings can sin themselves bankrupt,” he said. “Some sensors should flash some scriptures to warn the Christian to retreat from some things.”

Expatiating, he noted that only the pure in heart can see God, a statement he culled from Matthew 5:8 of the scriptures.

“A pure heart is a carrier of light. You need that light to walk in the darkness in this world. You need light to see what next. Only few people know the power of a pure heart. Satan is disabled over christians that carry light. Any christian that lacks this light cannot move at an appropriate speed,” Odutola explained.

To achieve a pure heart, the cleric admonished christians to deliberately embark on a crusade against inward lust or ungodly thoughts.

“If you can subdue them, you will see things,” he pointed.

The Senior Pastor further called on christians to embrace God who is the father of lights and spirits.

“God is called the father of lights and spirits. These(light and spirit) should be yours. One of the greatest products of light is the sun, a hanging ball of fire and it travels along its track at the speed of 120 miles per minute and has never deviated by 1 cm. There will be famine on earth if the sun goes on leave. However, the greater sun is our Lord Jesus Christ and this He, (The light) disables satan,” the cleric explained.

Again, he advised christians to runaway from youthful lust.

“Flee youthful lust, not resist it. You don’t have power over flesh; the flesh is your elder brother,” he harped.

“There is who you are and there is who you should be. Your Real life is your Internal life; your True life is your Inner life.Your heart is supposed to be an oven, baking the bread of life,” he continued.

Odutola noted that in the dark, satan is powerful but where there is light, satan is paralysed.
