Again Ikeja Electric customers experience frustration in recharging energy tokens

Customers of Ikeja Electric Distribution Company (DisCo) have been thrown into darkness because they cannot buy tokens and some of them who bought tokens cannot load them.

Confiance News gathered from the official X handle of the DisCo on Wednesday.

The company explained in a statement posted on its X handle that the challenges experienced by its customers were due to system downtime.

It said: “Dear Esteemed Customer,

Kindly be informed that the challenges you may be experiencing in purchasing energy token is as a result of downtime with our vending system.

Efforts are on-going in collaboration with our service providers to ensure normalcy as soon as possible.

Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by this development.”

Reactions

Reacting to the situation, a customer wrote on the comments, “After more than 16 hours you guys are just noticing it now huh? So I won’t be using light tonight?”

Dare Enitan replying with a screenshot: “Wetin they happen oooooo.”
