There are myths regarding the causes of stomach ulcer in the human body. One of such myths is that the ulcer is caused by hunger.

Confiance News gathered that stomach ulcer occurs when stomach acid eats through your protective stomach lining which leads to an open sore.

Gideon Bassey, a nutrition consultant and an X user said:
“Ulcer is not caused by hunger or fasting.

Ulcer is caused by H Pylori, Hypo-acidity of the gut, certain NSAIDs medications triggering inflammation.”

Also known as doctor of the future, he said that ulcer is curable

“Ulcer can be treated by removing the triggers, taking salts, and fasting with carrot/cucumber infused water to correct the stomach PH and heal the wounds.

Although, H. pylori has always coexisted with humans, in our stomachs.

Reason you can be positive with H.pylori without any symptoms of ulcer.

Strong stomach acidity ensures the H. pylori doesn’t thrive & devour the stomach lining.

Moreover, Bassey noted that “the root cause of ulcers isn’t H. pylori but weak stomach acidity.”

Because the bacteria H.pylori finds a way of reducing stomach acid to thrive.

Stomach ulcers are slowly becoming a pandemic.

Triggers
