NiA Labour Party chieftain and investor, Morris Monye, is on a giveaway spree— a way of helping Nigerians to ease the current hardship.

Confiance News gathered from the official X handle of Monye at the weekend.

He said: ‘Ok the dms I’ve gotten since yesterday over helping Obidients are crazy. My dm has been overwhelmed. So I’m going to give some Obidients with 50k each on the TL to assist.

I’m thinking as much as 5, 10, 20 people. Please and please. Do not dm me. Too many to read already.

To make it easier for me to choose in a non-biased manner, drop a comment on your need, the comment with the most likes will get picked.

X has made it easy to spool out “most liked comment”.’

Although he is bent on offering assistance to Nigerians through the money giveaway, Monye insisted that it will be for Obidients only.

According to data mined from the official website of the Obidient movement, its mission is: “To empower and mobilize the youth of Nigeria to actively engage in the political process, advocate for meaningful change, and hold leaders accountable for their actions.”

Reacting to his reasons of focusing on the Obidients, Monye said:”Oh and please it’s for Obidients only (I will be biased there) . Too much suffering in the land. They didn’t ask for it. No matter the likes you get, I will check your previous tweets. 🙏”

He also noted that another Obidient, who is also a social media influencer known as Danny on X offered to assist with N500,000.

“So @AjeboDanny wants to add 500k for Obidients. Good guy.”
