Is bad press better than no press? Netizens react to Trump, Harris campaign style

Reactions have trailed a post made by Financial Planner and Economist, Kalu Aja, that bad press is better than not being in the news at all.

Confiance News gathered from the official X handle of Ajah.

‘What you should understand is that in a hypermedia environment like America, getting “press” is invaluable. Trump went to a gathering of African American Journalists, probably a setting that was going to be hostile to him.

So why did he go? Because he knew it would make the news.

Remember, Trump has to force the Media to cover him, they rather won’t

Kamala Harris also held an event in Houston; no one is talking about that; whatever she said has been enveloped in wall-to-wall coverage of Trump; the man understands media. Trump sucks all the oxygen in the room:

In American politics, there is no “bad” press. The worst thing that can happen to a politician is “no press”,’ Ajah pointed.

Reacting to his post, Osasu Obayuwana said: “This was a shitshow for Trump. Only those who are MAGA apologists would think otherwise.”

Replying, Aja said: “You make my point

You are talking “Trump” not “Kamala.”

Obayuwana continued: “I don’t see how this is a positive for him, considering the reason.”

Aja: “I just explained it. No one is talking of Kamala’s trip to Texas, now Trump is at his own rally in Pennsylvania.”

Tedry, an X user said: “If Osasu is making more sense than you on a matter, you really should be worried and start questioning yourself.”

Eric Okafor said: “Donald Trump is no stranger to making the news.

What Donald and his team probably yearn for now is all the celebrity buzz and support surrounding Kamala Harris.

Sadly, the best they can get from the black community is Amber Rose.”

Perry appears to disagree with Aja,”What you also need to understand is that Democrats are using the same tactics to suppress anything or news relating to Donald Trump even on Google. State media is worse and Facebook is not left out tho.”

Amiable Festy, “Harris event got more coverage than Trump…
Only God knows why you are this heavy on propaganda.
You and Elon are twins on propaganda.”

Onyeka Chikki refuted, “Lol
It has more coverage
Yet who is being talked about on X?
Media coverage was there when he was shot at
Who made the event to get more popular for trump? X

Rest.”

Expatiating, Rayza || Mix Engineer said, “Trump didn’t go because he knew it will make the news. He wanted a conversation with people. His achievements in his first tenure is understated.
He proved himself at the end.”

Highlighting Aja’s point, Azekhumen said, “The point is, no matter how good Kamala’s event might have been, we just might never know because no one is talking about it – its Trump everywhere, whether for good or bad is a different topic on its own.”

Prime Coding agrees with Ajah: “You certainly understand the press game. That was how he defeated Hillary Clinton.”
