Mighty Media Plus Network Limited, publisher of the respected online platform QEDNG, has unveiled plans for the inaugural QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit, an ambitious initiative designed to spark new energy in Nigeria’s flourishing creative economy.

‎The high-profile convening is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2025, kicking off at 10:00 a.m. at the Radisson Blu Hotel, located on Isaac John Street in Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

‎Held under the theme “Financing as Catalysts for a Thriving Creative Economy,” the event will draw a broad spectrum of participants—including top-tier creatives, investors, public officials, and emerging innovators—to forge actionable pathways for scaling Nigeria’s cultural industries.

‎Speaking on the summit’s purpose, Olumide Iyanda, founder and CEO of Mighty Media Plus Network Limited, explained: “At QEDNG, we are committed to fostering creativity, credible journalism, and human capital development. This summit serves as a platform to address critical challenges and unlock the vast potential of Nigeria’s creative economy.”

‎Nigeria’s creative industry spans diverse fields such as film, music, visual arts, fashion, advertising, and digital media. It contributes robustly to the national GDP and is a vibrant emblem of Nigeria’s cultural heritage. Yet, challenges like underfunding, tech gaps, and sustainability concerns continue to inhibit its full potential.

‎The summit aims to confront these hurdles head-on by spotlighting fresh financing models, facilitating dynamic partnerships between creatives and capital providers, and equipping stakeholders with strategies for sustainable business practices.

‎Open to a wide array of professionals—artists, filmmakers, designers, musicians, scholars, and financial institutions—the event offers an opportunity to exchange ideas, gain insights, and forge lasting professional bonds across sectors.

‎“This summit is a strategic initiative to advance the creative economy,” Mr Iyanda reiterated. “It is designed to bridge gaps, provide resources, and empower stakeholders to drive transformative change. This aligns with QEDNG’s mission to support Nigeria’s cultural and economic development.”

‎Widely recognized for championing Nigerian creativity, cultural integrity, and public discourse, QEDNG hopes this convening will catalyze sustainable growth in the nation’s creative industries.
