Why NCC signed MOU with FCCPC

As part efforts towards strengthening consumer rights in Nigeria, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

Confiance News gathered from the official X handle of the Commission on Tuesday.

“In furtherance of our resolve to protect telecommunication consumers, Mr. Tunji Bello of the @fccpcnigeria and I today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of our two institutions—the FCCPC and the @NgComCommission (NCC).

“This MoU establishes a framework for collaboration between the NCC and the FCCPC to protect and strengthen consumer rights in Nigeria. Together, we will ensure fair competition and safeguard consumers in our fast-evolving digital economy,” the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NCC stated on X.

Confiance News learnt that the MOU will foster a transparent, competitive and consumer-focused telecommunications industry.
